hello. im back from genting lerh.. its fun larh. and we got a G - O - L - D! ncwo first gold. yeah!! and among all the bands we got 2nd position!
mon 24/11
woke up 545 to prepare and go sku. thot i was early.. but when i was there, almost EVERYONE was there liao lorh.. so cold larh.. settled down. librarians and QMs went to take the suit cases down, and the woodwinds went to take their instru.s down.. bus came and we went. slept, talked and played.. the bus journey to genting was really v long larh.. ate at yong peng and continued till we reached genting.. went up the mountain and really experiencing and learning physics.. haha.. can feel the change in pressure and our ears all started to get blocked.. but quite dizzy and got headache lorh.. finally reached genting at 3? and settled down outside the grand ballroom.
got our keys, zi lian-ed, and high-ed.. den went to our rooms, settled down and went for briefing and dinner.. but the rooms are really small.. wif a super small and cute tv. thot gt air-con but turned out to be fan.. there quite cold. and the fan is super strong [or is it coz of the cold weather?].. heh heh
dined at the first world cafe for dinner. and went for the opening ceremony which was so fast and lame.. went to peisi's room while waiting to baboon get back from tuning. packed up and went to bed.. had a hard time sleeping lorh. kip waking up in the middle of the night too.
tues 25/11 day of competition. woke up at 7? went for breakfast and went for tuning in png's room. waited for quite a while before we get tuning.. talked to mr pisit and joked around.. haha so funny. tuned up and mr lum came and scotchtape our tuning slides, to prevent the tuning slides from moving. den in the afternoon we went for second round tuning after lunch.. heh heh.. went for rehearsal and performance start at 3+. changed and met at lobby at 315.
we're the 9th band to perform and yeah.. our performance was ~~~. postcard was o.m.g! i lost count and missed one part and carie broke down when taking over the mallet part for yokeling. inn was.. high notes was awful and yeah.. but the ending for happy ending was like the nicest one we played so far..
coz heard tht pasir ris really sounded good. haha. but we are really relieved after the performance.. heard other bands and some sounded really nice..
went to starbucks at night and bought my fav mocha frappe.. wee~~ and went up to peisi's room and played payday.. screamed, shouted and had lots of fun lorh.. untill darren and yenling came.. sae they can hear us screaming from the water dispenser there. lols. so funny.. they passed us our theme park tickets and advised us to return to our rooms before mdm yeo came and check on us. haha=)
wed 26/11 was kinda free. in the afternoon have workshop for all sections. so to not waste our theme park ticket, we went shopping instead.. but things are either too ex or design ain't nice at all.. sian lorh..
had lunch and went for the workshop.. was conducted by mr pisit's jr.. taught us how to lip slur and somoe basics. and went through our set piece, overture no. 1. and no offence, but the st. nic girls are really damn bitchy can.. oops..
yeah.. workshop ed at like 4? den went back room n went to isabelle's room to find baboon.. ended up playing cheat wif all of them and yeah lorh.. changed and prepared for the friendship concert..
but den while mcees are intro-ing, we realised tht the results will be announced at the end of the friendship concert.. high-ed during the friendship concert.. and the results was out.. pasir ris got 82%, gold and we were happy for them.. den when it was our turn.. it was total silence as all of us are really nervous.. held peisi's and geraldine's hands really tight and the mc still asked "do u think u will get gold?" wah.. it scared the hell out of us can?! and yeah!! we got 81%!! G!- O! - L! - D!!
OMG! lots of us broke into tears.. coz the bands before us all got like 70++% silver. and it was damn unexpected! omg!! was really happy.. we screamed ad shouted and cried.. too happy lerh.. lots of schools emo-ed.. and so we went outside to high.. formed circles, shouted.. omg! so damn happy!
highed and screamed and cried untill no voice and lips cracked.. was oso told tht we got to perform on thurs' closing ceremony. and on thurs, some of us are oso asked to attend the workshop for our set piece, overture no.1. many problems between.. went to the lift lobby when carie took a lipstick and drew a big "g" on everyone's cheeks.. yeah.. and "gold" on everyone's arms. haha=) den went to buy starbucks again and sat there and toked.. but yeah.. lots of commotion in between too..
and saw the sec 4s too.. went to buy pi pa kao coz all of us are on the verge to lose our voice. on the way back to the hotel everyone was staring at us coz of our hands and faces. haha=)) wee~~
was late coz by the time we went up was alrd 12. was caught by mdm yeo and ms heng.. was scolded.. but then went back bathed den went out to take water and saw her again.. but then she like nth happen like tht. so funny larh..
thurs 27/11 voice was partially lost and we got to wake up v early to prepare ourselves and attend the workshop. many went and all the woodwinds went and played the pieces wif other bands while brasses only allow one from each sku, each section. yeah lorh.. givon went and me and peisi sat and listen to them while noting down stuffs.. after one hour many left and only left wif tchers, peisi, esther, xue er and i.
okae larh.. but overture no.1 really sounded v nice.. haha=)) after tht rushed and went to the theme park.. was fun.. givon sat on most.. but peisi left half way.. while me, frog, hwee joo, valen, qh, kx, baboon and carie. rides are fun but are all so short.. not thrilling enuff too.. hehe. at later parts met up wif the sec 4s. wanted to take the flying dragon tgt initially.. but it rained and the person dun allow. so sad.. but while queue-ing, they think of a nickname for everyone there. so funny.. daphne- DADA doreen- DODO dexter- DEDE melissa- MEME kaiying- KAKA manting- MAMA boyang- BOBO jason- JAJA kelmond- KEKE joyce- JOJO germaine- GEGE

lols.. started calling everyone by their nicknames.. so funny larh.. rained stopped and we went to sit the spinnner was really fun larh.. but many came down tht time v giddy.. den followed by viking.. made everyone even giddier.. haha.. went to find peisi and went shopping tgt. she bought many jackets and hoodies while givon and i bought gifts for everyone. haha.
rushed back to change and prepare for the closing ceremony. haha=)) went for rehearsal and we wwere the first band to perform.. zao xia-ed.. but.. haha=)) who cares.. lols.. highed, kept our intru.s and sent it back to sku and went to pack our lugguages.. helped ying find her purse and went back to our rooms.
fri 28/11 packed our bags. woke up at 630 to eat breakfast and prepared to reuturn back to singapore.. wee~ bus journey this time seems faster for no reason. lols.. high-ed, slept and yeah lorh.. went back sku.. put our stuffs down.. debrief and went back home. presented our certificates to mr ong too. seems like he's v happy wif our gold! wee~~ hope we can have more $$$ from him next year.. yeah!!

wee~~ went novena ytd but was late for the service and wet for the later one instead and ended up went shoping wif mom at ip=)) bought 3 new shirts.. wee~~
packed my luggage lerh.. but it became so fat.. seems like there's lots of things to bring there. eh.. sian larh.. but i bringing one windbreaker there leh.. like so kua zhang.. and still bringing my denim there too.. like so many things.. i think i must go repack again.. hehheh!

wee~ had our last band practice todae in the hall. it was really damn cold lorh. ended up it sounds and feel like as though we are performing or we're having the competition. and many alumnus came back like liya, christina, lynette, py, shirlene and jovin. but the perc came back to collect their perc section tee. yeah.. was so damn cold larh. and we even over-runned coz we ended up clearing alot of parts from both inn and postcards.
den yeah lorh.. we delayed form 12 to 1.. den went back band room then frog, yl and carie gave out the band tee while the QMs and librarians went to do our jobs and prepare for genting trip..
eh.. yeah lorh.. packed scores and all the instrus we nid... so sianx.. den this was a total of one hour and we finally managed to leave the school at 230? went for section lunch with liya, givon, peisi and qianhui. ate at yoshi and yeah.. slacked, eat and chatted for one hour +.. and den finally left yoshi at 4++.. but had lots of fun..
yeah. not only did our band tee finally arrives the bass trombone is here too! wee~ the low notes are really really nice! yeah.. go givon! haha ;)
but haiz.. my low notes sounded more and more shitty.. haiz.. how?! one problem solved and another came.. how now?!
haiz.. things dint went really smoothly just now. i heard news tht was really.. and i saw things that are really heartbreaking..
why are things happening this way? how can someone become so weak and haggard just after not seeing each other for one week? when can i see her as a healthy, fit and happy person again? what has really happened? who can i ask for help at times like this?
i really missed those times when you were so healthy. i really missed those times when you make such nice food. i really missed those times when we were in bad terms. i really missed those times when we have such fun.
seems like there is nothing much i can do now. no matter how much i missed those days, i know we can never return to the past.

eh.. todae's band was so productive~ we supposedly is suppose to use 1 half hour each for both inn and postcard. but after we first recorded our playing.. it was really hopeless okae.. den yeah lorh.. worked on the piece and sorted it out.. and ended up we even delayed untill 530 when we finally finished practising the whole piece. wee~~ but need more practises to at least have tht kind of standard for competition.. wee~~
woah.. todae's band 大扫除 was v dusty and smelly! but band rm, at last, is clean. at least cleanner than before. haha.. oops.. cleared lots of dust.. especially the cupboard behind the tuba section. its so damn smelly, dirty and dusty. cleared the cardboards on the top of the cupboard. its really v dusty okae..
givon and i den went to rearrange the chairs and stands neatly and cleaned the chairs. haha=) and we stacked up the chairs and ended up trombone section became the most special section! our chairs are the blue chairs we used for exams in the halls. special hor. oops
and yeah. they took this piece of super big, super smelly, super disgusting and super old curtain.. it has tht suanmei derh wei dao larh.. damn smelly.. and we helped the aunties drag it to the main dustbins. it really stinks can.. omg! i nearly puked(not exaggerating okae).. but its really..
yeah.. and we went cp for lunch after tht=) ate subway! haha=)) made tiffy jealous. oops.. but it realy nice. walked and hiaohiao because i saw the cyberactive guy!! haha=)) jealous? he so shuai lorh.. but givon n valen kip suaning me. wah lau..
n peisi bag seems to have problem lrh.. walk into where tht have sensor derh oso will have problem.. first was sembawang n the sensor rang off.. den we went to the gaming shop n the sensor went off again.. haha.. and we started to see wad's the cause. but then the person told us tht is coz have too much metal lerh.. haha=)) lols..

den mapled for the whole dae todae.. n like wtf? every half hour i play i die once.. in total i think i died maybe got 5-7 times can? i died n i did this quest tht gave me 20% of exp. so happy leh.. den ltr on i died and recovered my losses, died and recover my losses. and this went on till just. like. wtf? play untill so pekchek and ended up i stopped playing for the day. so angry leh.. ended up wif 41++%, i died untill left wif 33++% only leh! fish!

i slept at like 12 last night? and woke up at 108 this morningafternoon.. haha=) dun sae i pig okae.. its T-I-R-E-D! haha. den i went downstairs n i smell my mom's so damn nice derh curry.. so damn temptiing okae.. n i asked her for brunch and she said we gg to gran's hse ltr n den we go for lunch after tht.. den slacked and prepared and by the time we went gran's hse, its alrd 4! omg.. lunch.. wah! but my gran offered us her speciality soup.. its really v nice~ n here came my mom who juz returned from sheng shiong wif my gran's drinks she was supposed to buy. but she bought samosa too! some malay curry puff but its triangular in shape.. really v nice~
and tht's my brunch.. n came home, ate curry! yeah! so nice.. and yarh lorh.. came up after dinner and chatted on msn wif syl. juz wanteed to let her noe tht i emailed everyone the design of our section tee lerh=)and yeah.. we started toking a lil'.. when i told her abt her most recent post tht is so emo.. n she commented abt my person message.. haiz..

omg! band practice was damn tiring todae.. actually wasn't the playing tht made it so tiring larh.. it was the store check and the moving of things tht made it a damn tiring practice larh.. ALL SLs, QMs AND LIBRARIANs HAVE TO REPORT TO BAND AT 830! omg. damn early. but apparently, no one went so early n we only reached at like 9? haha..
but despite the fact tht we are late, the door wasn't open.. so no diff arh.. haha=)) oops.. den frog went to open the door n yeah.. we took our time to slack up.. but when we reached, the hardworking clarinet section librarians were there dian-ing scores.. wooh! *clap hands* for them!! den yeah.. taught them wad to do..
den yarh lorh.. take out all the scores from the cupboard den slowly check their quality and stuff.. QM job was like so easy todae.. librarians were the ones having a hard time todae niarx.. den do do do finally finish lerh den we slowly stack it neatly into the cupboard.. but too bad i dint manage to take the before n after photos of the cupboard. but den all the librarians were so damn satisfied wif our high efficiency :)))
yeah.. den they all left wif tiffy [which apparently dint do her job todae], for their section lunch at pizza hut at heartland mall.. den so suay mdm yeo came n said tht she wan re-organize the scores n put it back onto the shelves again.. yeah.. den pulled out the shelves n make abit of space for only one librarians to take scores from them..
den yeah lorh.. had a hard time take out the scores from the cupboard and place it on the shelves again.. n eye-power ms heng juz stood there hands crossed and use her so damn powderful eye-power to help us shift all the scores onto the shelves.. woah! round of applause for her!! wah.. because of her so damn powderful eye-power we managed to put all the scores up onto the shelves.. so helpful!! woah.. we're all SO GRATEFUL! wah...
den yeah lorh.. den mdm yeo so realistic, kip insisting tht we shld take all of mr chew's scores out from the locked cupboard and display it out onto the shelves.. had a hard time to reason things wif her.. yeah.. but i ended up oso like hai him bei ma. sorry..
eh.. one conclusion, though librarian is like the funnest post in band, but its also the most hectic and tiring and one and only job tht will put in scenarios like todae..
den peisi and givon went to 3F to take givon's TBs and mdm kept chasing us to go eat lunch.. and she practically every 10min will come chase one time.. and her ultimate motive is to ensure tht we have a good and filling lunch to prevent us from putting all the blame on her tht she made us stay until we have no time to eat. lols! so realistic niarx..
yeah.. so tired.. went to 7-11 eat and went back to band.. was like 5-10min late. den did warm-ups n yeah lorh.. tuned up and played once through for percussion tutor ms wee. she gave us some feedback. and went for sectionals.. brasses had ours in meeting rm, woodwinds in com lab and percussion in band rm.
mr ng actually studied our score and analyse and he did some chords.. and i can ptich the G and A steadily lerh.. though still nid more practices, but at least can ao guo for now.. :P
wah.. i juz played over and over and over and over and over non stop.. and i did it! though abit mis-pitching and zao-xia-ing here and there.. but i hope it can bring us through.. eh..
yeah.. practiced untill 5 and yeah! we skipped footdrill! oops..
but i was so dumb larh.. my tian.. i carried my water bottle, 3 mutes and 2trombones.. at first i hole the 3 mutes wif my right fingers and 2 trombones wif my left hand.. then when we gg back to band rm, i was thinking maybe my right hand stronger so i shld change and use my right hand to hold the 2 trombones. den how i noe by the time i went back to band rm, both hands damn suan and muscles damn pain larh.. until when i was writing the librarian catalogue, my hand was like shaking non stop larh..
den bused to cp to transfer $$ to supplier. den went to neighbour's coffee shop for dinner.. but my dad n mom was so angry wif my sis todae larh.. at the coffee shop.. me: eh, where's shannon(my sis)? daddy: aiyah.. dun tok abt her lerh larh.. i ask her come out for dinner she dun wan, still showed me faces.. den dun wan buy dinner for her larh.. let her starve to death best.. aiyah.. ask her go eat shit larh..
and he left to buy dinner for my mom.. i thot tht it wouldnt be so serious but when he came back, he only had one plate of rice for himself, and one plastic bag wif only one packet of rice for my mom.. lilke.. wah!
but serve my sis right larh.. who ask her, because of she not wanting to miss her korean drama, she refuse to go out for dinner wif my dad n ask him to buy back for her. n she still showed him faces.. n my dad was so angry tht he refuses to buy dinner for my sis n rather she starves lorh.
so scary.. was dead tired. body damn suan, and so cold. but luckily my heater nowadays v good, the hot water really can burn tht type.. haha=)) bathed in super hot water due to the cold weather, and i heard my mom scolding my sis.. hahaha=)) oops..
mummy was oso v angry wif sis larh. but poor mummy, because of my crazy and stupid sister, she got to share her packet of dinner wif my sis and cooked a packet of instant noodles wif her.. stupid larh..

omg! i jumped out of my bed juz now after reading the msg from this idol merchandise blogshop owner larh! omg! so happy! but hers is autographed derh leh.. den i dunno if i shld juz buy the autographed ones or juz preorder from sembawang and attend the autographed session myself to go get it signed.. dilemma..

todae's band, as usual, has many tutors coming over to help up the different sections.. but pisit todae busy so mr ng took the trombone n eupho section todae.. yeah.. haiz.. but png todae abit ~~.. before we left for sectionals, he came n said "erm.. mr pisit was like quite angry wif ur tht dae arh.. coz ur cnnt pitch the high g." sorry larh! i noe tht im lousy.. wah lau! haiz.. but pisit wasnt angry wif us or wad AT ALL can? wah lau.. sorry larh! we're still not as good as him wad.. n tht dae png still showed off n said "come on, its juz a high A" wtf! go hell can? wad "its ONLY AN A?" wah lau.. its damn high for a lower brass instru okae? wtf?!
den yeah.. went out for sectionals n we took the stage. gt some parts cleared and some scolding from mr ng.. haiz.. sianx.. 2 WEEKS MORE ONLY!! my tian.. how!
went out for sectionals untill 345 den went in to combine. but this time when we combined mr tan, the dramapapa, took over mr png.. yeah.. he was quite funny and he actually went into parts where, i think, png always overlooked.. as in like some parts juz some mere chords tht seems so unimportant, he actually told us tht we gt to emphasize more on some of them n to take note at those places.. like.. woah?
actually png like DUN EVER do these chords derh lorh.. during the combine he seems to only focus on melody and solos.. when u ever c him do chords? maybe only like some pause notes or last notes?
haiz.. but overall, i think todae's practice is kinda productive huh? but now left those high notes n stuff.. wonder if we will make it on time huh? haiz.. 2 weeks = ONLY 14+ DAES! omg!

den by 2, he left once again n law wae n mr pisit came when pisit took over us n we went into the band store for sectionals, tuba n eupho followed him outside, n percussion stayed in the band room. n jaon so damn fierce larh.. the way he teaches his section during sectionals was really.. wah.. was taking stuff out from my bag derh, den he like shouted at them n i kinda jumped out larh.. woosh..

band prac todae was.. ~~.. sianx.. practised con fuoco pieces like classical canon, king and lenggang kangkung.. lols? king was really time consuming.. practice was from 1-5, but mr lum did king form 130-330? den did lenggang kangkung and he said within 2-3 practices it will be ready for genting trip.. like.. sure? oops.. n we used the last 15min for canon.. it sounded quite nice leh.. not bad..
den distributed the concert tickets which took like half hour and we went down for foot drill after receiving the tickets. yepyep=) was scolded for my socks.. oops.. den yarh lorh.. did some turning here and there and we were dismissed.. anws ppl,

anws, todae in the bus gt alot of weird n funny ppl leh.. givon donovan n i boarded the same 1o9 n was on the way home when at this stop this quite cute boyboy boarded the bus n his card no money or something larh.. den i think he was paying cash then he bringing trolley bag marh.. den he thot his arms v long can hold his bag and put the money into the box when he is like at this seat behind the driver there.. den his bag like nearly drop den helpful donovan held his bag for him while he's paying his bus fares.. but he gave tht kind of face though.. lols?

after sku went to punggol plaza to eat ban mian.. yarh.. tht cashier auntie really damn pahjiao, n her maths seriously fail! my tian.. angeline ordered mee hoon kuey, ber ordered ban mian, n i ordered my usual tom yam ban mian tht cost only $3.80. den she out sudden ask me if i wan seafood or fish.. i was kinda shocked when she asked, but wadever isit, i juz said seafood. den ended up we asked for an extra guo tie (juz normal deep-fried dumplings) tht cost $5 den total was $16.60 when i found out tht she charged me $4.50 for my tomyam SEAFOOOD ban mian.. like wtf? i juz asked for NORMAL tomyam ban mian n u charged me extra.. tht's not all..
coz long queue so i dint really bother tht much. i gave her a total of $18 when we paid $6 each. so she asked for 10cents but coz i wan it to split the change more easily, i juz asked her to give me the change.. den she kuku-ly derh gave me 10cents.. she realised it was wrong n she "eh", and took like $2++ change.. by then i was seriously damn pakchek n i juz said "auntie, 你只要还我$1.90 leh..", but i think she was kinda paiseh and she blamed us for giving her so much change n coins nd she juz threw all the money down w/o counting.. den isit my fault for giving u all the change.. u shld count it n give me the right change and not ask a customer to do the maths for u leh.. wtf?

eh.. todae was open hse.. yeah.. have to be in sku by 715. so damn early larh.. went there tuned up, warmed up and yeah.. practice shrek n went to the booth to meet ppl! by right 940 was suppose to have all the performing arts performance. but coz the halll ve no one so we were asked to go back ltr den we go n c.. by 1010 almost half the hall was filled wif parents, teachers and ourown students tht include clarissa, eunice, ber, angeline tht was there to c ME!, and von tht was there to WATCH the performance.. haha=)) yeah.. was quite a long wait coz we were the last 2 cca to perform..
first up was choir wif their folksong and abba'a dancing queen.. first round was really not bad.. but second time was abit out of beat.. den chinese dance was still as up to standard as before, dancing wif their gold-wif-honours's sei.. haha=)) den yeah.. international dance was apologize again ... eh. n wushu was cool~~ den was string wif their not bad performance, n it was OUR turn!! ahaha=)) yeah.. we played shrek dance party under the baton of darren.. yeah~ haha=) den was an interval followed by another performance..
coz dun wan play back the same song, we played sock hop instead.. took scores out den we started playing arnd.. started playing inn - happy ending. played some parts only.. but den coz carn rmb so ended up took the scores out to play.. played from part F n stuff.. den we gt crazy untill we juz kept repeating the this old man chorus and we juz go faster n faster n faster n faster.. haha=)) n we were actually crazy enuff to do so.. haha.. but co c lerh they actually tried to imitate.. like.. wtf?

but after open hse went to blk 308 to buy lunch for the whole band wif carie, kaixin, tiff, peisi, huihui, jaslyn and laywen.. von was kinda emo.. but she refuses to tell me wad happen!! eh.. von arh, chill leh.. had a quick lunch n went up to band room. finding lots of conductors n tutors.. haha=)) there's even flute tutor, 2 clarinet tutors, horn tutor, mr ng, MR PISIT!, tuba tutor, and ofc, mr tan, the dramapapa :DD
haha=)) 7 tutors, 2 conductors, and al ncwo-ian wif alumnis.. woah.. band room was so crammed up can.. but coz of all the various tutors, our sound's kinda improving.. pisit oso helped us alot todae.. not only chords, but lots of it.. woah.. he still played 2 sound at the same time.. my tian arh.. n he wans me to train to do tht.. but how?! omg... but yarh.. solved quite some parts lerh.. n he made me realised things tht i dint even noe of larh.. amazinng.... haiz.. was kinda contented wif todae's achievement.. if only we can progress at this rate, or else, how are we able to be ready for genting's competition? omg..
