ytd was such a day. memories with ncwo is nvr forgotten.

it was one of my most efficient time giving out the scores. and it will be my last task as a chief librarian )): SO SAD!!!
jrs prepared cake for us and made our departure and stepping down from band, the most memorable one. awww~
and yeah. the announcement of acting posts. so proud of ronda. the only one with 3 acting posts! acting IC, SL, welfare. like duh?! must she even be acting leader of these posts? needless to say, she cfm will be them larh.. oops oops.

omg. my conclusion after today's tuition is:

oops. haha. but she is really omg!! u can vomit blood larh.
firstly, she asks really stupid question. and she dun memorise formulae so you will have to be like her formulae book, providing her with al lthe formulae she needs.. aiyoh..
secondly, she will not noe how to do lots and lots of quiestoins and lots and lots of why will be coming from her. and explaining to her is really.. omg.. oops
thirdly, when she gets too high and see the symbol for a lamp she will all convert them into "pokeballs" or even "ultraball".

and we tried out koi cafe's bbt. and its grate!! i drank hazelnut milk tea. and omg!! its really nice!! so addictive tht i finished it in less than 30min!! hahaha.
and vonny drank passion fruit green tea. haha. not bad too. but the pearl is really not bad~~ hah.

woosh! ncwo rawk the hall and parade!! woots woots!!
parade was great. only some parts. but many said we have improved. they also said tht we were quite neat :DD rahim rawk!! wee~~
den the performance was great. the sec4s played untill want to cry lerh lorh. gpi was ? all controlled our tears but wanling cried from romantic interlude till the end. but was really touched. oops. I PITCHED THE NOTE!! I squeezed it out. wanted to make it louder but scared it will crack. von commented tht the she heard me but only kinda shaky. but she said tht the this old man DAMN NICE!!!! :DDDDDDDDD

our last performance with ncwo was a success!!
one more week before we step down. I DUN WANT!

wet church for good friday's mass. but the church was sooo packed arh. oh my..
so much homework to do.. 3 incomplete compres! 6 hrs! omg. im so gonna be drive crazy..
so hungry~~ no breakfast. only can wait for my lunch ):
so sorry clique!! but its not like the first day u noe me larh.
my parents wll nvr allow me to go watch night movies.
and i'll try to go watch sws concert :DD
band for the past week was~~ so super tired. was parading, bellowing, parading, bellowing. dreaded it last year. but all of us became so enthu this year. bellowing and parade is so fun though it can be v tired. haha. and after this parade, sec4s/5s are graduating lerh )): i'll miss ncwo derh!
ronda jiayou! u can be the best section leader and can lead the whole trombone section and prepare them for syf 11'! lead them to help ncwo zheng guang kae!

went church early in the morning for not attending classes for the past month. oops. but felt quite guilty too. much homework to be completed but the com was far too addictive. started playing with fb derh fluff friends and find it like some imitation of pet society. but wadever the case its still so cute can. haha.
i think i quite lag arh. coz like the whole wide world alrd have one like long long time ago and i juz started one. oops. but the com is sooooo addicitve tht im glued to it now! die! hahaha
ytd was suppose for me to do my work. but after baibai went to gran's hse and stayed there untill night and by the time i reach home only can do 5 ques of maths. sianz... early morning went church and on the way back home was caught in the rain. but luckily dad was arnd the area so i got a ride home from the bus stop.
haiz.. after syf is over, ncwo-ians life seems to be empty. we go sku everyday for a motive/goal: morning practice.
but now, morning practice is over and we juz go to sku without something to look forward to, except on wed and fri. but den.. now left parade and sec4/5 are stepping down. so sianx... i want more band but i oso want time to study. oops. but... i dun wan parade. i dun wanna be black. oops oops.
i miss morning practices and syf practices.

thanks for all the comfort and stuff but we are all feeling much mch better. and juz realised how influential are we. haha. being sad, we influenced the 4Ds and alumnus and conductors. oops. im sorry!
received syf recording today from peisi and was listening to it in the bus juz now. its really nice but its really 0.0! lots of intonation problems and mispitches. kae larh. not tht much. but generally it was melodious. but in detail, u can really hear lots of.. hmmm. haha. my mispitch was really!!!! its so obvious! haiz.. im sorry ncwo and first trombonists, for such a disappointment. haiz..
so i force tht note out today no matter wad for inn. oops.

again, its SYF o9'. time just passed so quickly. still rmb, on 11 april 2oo7. ncwo went to syf as a strong band with all the snrs. but due to the strict judging in 2oo7, ncwo got silver with double honours. when we went back to school. we were speechless and demoralised. all the scribbles on our stands, "GOLD SYF o7'" has all been changed to "GOLD SYF o9'". and syf o9' IS TODAY.
the moment that we have been waiting for.
the medal tht we are hungry and thirsty for.
the change in goals we wanted to achieve.
the aim to sustain back what we got from genting and let batch 6 sec 4s and batch 5 sec 5s, to graduate with honour and pride.
working so hard for this medal or even better, this is what we get. the day just passed so quickly that i could barely rmb how we used up our remaining time to polish up our medal.
reported at usual sku hours, but coz of our excitement, givon, wanling, frog and i went to sku at normal morning pratice time. we went straight to the hall to make sure the dancers dun touch our stuffs, and to calm oursselves down from the excitement. went there chatted, played and laughed.
in morning flag raising, when ms pey was making the announcement, she said, "all wind orchestra syf members, please report to the hall after the flag raising ceremony." we thrusted mr png and he really did miracle for us.
cheered and went up to the hall put our stuffs down, highed abit, and went to change off our uniform into band uni. went to hall, played, tuned, and yeah. from the past days result, we were confident of achieving wad we aimed for. we were high throughout the entire day. we joked and laughed as though we are just preparing for a normal performance.
was tuning when darren out sudden told us tht xin min got gwh. it was expected. during the exchange in amk, we are expected this results. yeah. but we were still nervous. den did a last major tuning and had lunch we totally made me sick. omg.
how suay could it be larh. of all days, nvr experienced this before. and juz on this BIG day, this kind of things actually happened to me. did a last run thru and off we went to SCH.
sat down in the foyer?, den toked, and went to tuned. the whole proceedure was just so fast. everything as usual. den proceeded to outside the concert hall to wait. heard sembawang. and yeah. cheered ourselves up, juz wanted to do our best on stage.
it was our turn. we were nervous but we still calm oursleves though. went up on stage. it seems normal to me, as though it was juz another rehearsal. though i was still nervous, but juz dun feel like syf. played our best. yeah. totally like wad mr png said "ur best is still not good enough. ur best is still not good enough for ncwo." its totally true for me. i've tried my best, but my best is not good enuff for ncwo.
overture was fine. mr lum said tht it was the best overture from us so far. the best we have ever played. inn was good. gpi for the piece was higher than usual expect for some exceptional parts.
after the competition, we were nervous and worried. but it was the first time tht the trombone section played the glissES and soli tgt!! good job guys! from hl, it was quite good. went in to hear the remaining 3 bands before the results. we were confident, but still worried.
during a short 5 min break when the judges finalise the results, we went to ask all the tutors.
mr ng: cfm gold derh larh. blahblahblah.
law wei: good good. cfm gold. but i carn promise, must still c the judges.
yue yuan (from babaoon), he said we sounded great.
all of us were really expecting a breakthrough. we were so high ytd tht we cfm wif mr png tht we thrust him no matter wad.
he also expected something. and he aims even higher than anyone of us.
the results was really disappointing. i was numb at first. sad but no tears. meanwhile i was reflecting and i realised how dumb, useless and wadever i was. it was juz a bloody freaking A and i juz mispitched it. panick, i squeezed tht note out for few counts, which i ltr realise, made the situation even worse. pissed. like wtf!! its juz a A!!!!
im sorry liya, sylvia and haolun. u guys came all the way to SCH to support ncwo and the trombone section and yet i could not even perform well. wad shit is this. wad on earth was this. THIS IS SHIT! total shit!
many alumnus came to support. received all the good wishes from all the tutors, schools, and friends. they all believe in ncwo. when they asked us to achieve **** we replied "*** larh"!! wad on earth happened? must we be always looked down by others as a ****** band! i dun want! we have achieved it in genting but this first achievement wasnt even recognised. wad a total disappointment.
went back to school and had a debrief. only the saxos, trombones, and flutes cried. wif a few sec4s from some sections. ... everyone said tht they were proud of us. but this is not wad we want to achieve. we did make music today. but is the reward we get? haiz.. sadded.
its not ur fault sir, u dint disappoint us. if it wasnt for u who have chosen this piece, our skills would only remain at this lvl. it is u who also have let us achieved gold and a secong position in genting because of this piece. we dun blame u for our results. we juz blame oursleves for not putting in enuff effort to achieve wad u have aimed for. sorry sir.
probably its not the rewards, but the process that we have been through in making this music. like what mr lum said "what is music to you?" its a fact. we shld enjoy the process of making music, as well as the results. but since we get this result, we shld and we will enjoy the process. we must rmb the lessons we have learnt from mr png and mr lum and all the tutors. how to balance a chord, even how to balance a melody. closer and stronger bonds within sections and the entire band. this IS our second home and ncwo is one big FAMILY. so stay strong, pull ourselves up and work hard for nchs 61th anniversary! and prove others wrong that we are silver band. play, behave and perform like a GOLD BAND!Labels: o1.o4.2oo9 wednesday
